Foam Joint Backer Rod, Polycord or Caulk Backer Rod 30mm

A polyethylene foam in circular cord lengths, used as a back up material for joint sealant. backer rod foam joint filler

Easily compressed into joints.
Diameters available are: 8mm, 10mm, 13mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm and 30mm

Caulk Backer Rod, or cord, is a flexible foam cord manufactured by continuous extrusion to fill both static and dynamic joints. It allows the volume of sealant or mastic used to be minimized and hence reduce overall cost.

Polycord is an extruded closed cell expanded polyethylene cord which is CFC and HCFC free and does not absorb moisture. Polycord is reusable and can be 100% recycled. The expanded Polyethylene is chemically and physically neutral.

Application
Polycord can also be incorporated into side insulation and expansion joints preventing heat loss.

It can also be used to avoid direct contact between walls and floating floor systems such as when using under floor heating.
