Key Features

Resists the passage of moisture through wall, ceiling & floors
Improves the general air tightness of the building
Restricts the passage of warm, moist air from within the building from permeating into the structure or the roof.
SFTV is a general purpose membrane suitable for preventing condensation which can lower the performance of insulation.
Suitable for wall and roof applications
Vapour resistance greater than 200MNSG
Permeability rating lower than 1.0
Helps to prevent mould and damp staining
Can be used to enhance U - values in both new build and renovation projects.

Installation

SFTV should be installed on the "warm" side of the insulated structure, with special care being taken to ensure that all seams and holes are sealed effectively to render the whole structure moisture vapour proof and to improve the thermal performance. It is important that SFTV should be installed as a continuous barrier in order to prevent vapour entering the wall or the roof.

Fixing & Jointing

All overlaps should be a minimum of 150mm and be sealed using sf jointing tape. Particular care is required when sealing around penetrations. Were the barrier is breached by construction elements, the aperture should be sealed with SF double sided tape
